A state-level meeting of women farmers was organized by numerous organization functioning with women said there is a requirement to make agriculture policies at state and centre level more gender friendly. A research by ItishreePattnaik who is the assistant professor in GIDR (Gujarat Institute of Development Research) concentrated on feminized agriculture have found that 65% of women in Gujarat are indulged in agriculture whereas just 44% of men are indulged in agriculture.  Women are more indulged in agriculture than men but still, they did not experience an income rise. Their income is less when compared to men. It is accepted historically that agriculture does not give income just like other sectors.
